3) Tour Monsanto. Featuring houses built between giant granite boulders, this village near Castelo Branco looks pretty surreal. (It was even a chosen location to film the House of the Dragon, a prequel to Game of Thrones. In 1938, Monsanto clinched the title of the most Portuguese village in the country and was awarded a silver rooster, a replica of which still stands above the village’s clock tower. Other noteworthy sites you can visit while walking around the town include a medieval castle erected by the Knights Templar and the ruins of a Romanesque chapel.

If you are into massage in a hammam 'bath house' book one ahead (let me know).
What is a hammam? Hammams are bathhouses where people get a vigorous scrub down by a friend/stranger in public or an attendant in private. The typical bath consists of a steam room, hot water, an argon oil soap mix called Savon Beldi, and a rough hand mitt known as a kese.

From Google.com Fez is Morocco's old capital and, in many ways a rival to the power and popularity of Marrakech. Its old medina is just as cacophonous an assault on the senses with its 90,000 winding streets and alleyways and in some places, medieval lifestyles. And if anything, Fez is more fiercely Moroccan.

DAY THIRTEEN - May 12 Monday: This Day Is Yours with OPTIONS

1) Day Trip to CHEFHAOUEN (pay an extra $35+ to guide and driver): 'Morocco's Blue City' (see more below).
2) Day Trip to the Sahara Desert (pay extra)

4) Volubilis (pay extra): A Roman city over 2,300 years old with well-preserved ruins, including Corinthian columns, an arch, and mosaic floors. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Chefchaoeun:
From traveladdicts.com blog: Largely shut off from the world for over 400 years beginning in the 15th century, the city feels like it’s from another time. The small streets and alleys are quiet, not teeming with the frenetic energy. One path intersects another in the pleasantly confusing area of Chefchaouen Medina.

From nohurrytogethome.com blog: Wandering through the maze-like narrow streets, you’ll notice that every corner is picture-perfect. At every turn, there is a new subtlety to the shades of blue, a new mosaic pattern to be entranced. Light and colors shift throughout the day, making it possible to walk the same streets repeatedly and see something new each time. Even in the rain, the paint makes the city feel bright.

4:00 Depart Chefchaouen and Arrive in Fez.
Dinner on your own.
